Program Overview

The primary goal of the NTIS Tennis Program is to increase the number of Northern Territory athletes that achieve Tennis Australia full scholarships and partial scholarships.

The squad members are selected on the basis of meeting stringent selection criteria based on ranking, results and participation at recognized events in the previous 12 months. There is a demanding training schedule that is individually designed that can see players on the court for up to 21 hours a week, as well as gym sessions, movement session and a yoga program.

The combined skills of the Tennis community and the NTIS sports scientists create an environment that develops committed young athletes into individuals who are able to achieve their tennis potential.
