Program Overview
The NTIS Hockey program is a dual gender development program and is a National Training Centre for Hockey Australia. The program's primary goals are to have male and female NTIS athletes selected to the National Senior Team / Squad, Australian Institute of Sport, National Development Squad, National U21 Junior Team / Squad.
The program is designed to facilitate the development of those individuals who have the potential to represent Nationally at a Junior, Development and or Senior Open levels.
The NTIS Hockey program has produced and supported many exceptional athletes that have performed with distinction on the National and International stage. An NTIS Hockey athlete has medalled in every Olympics since 1996 and with 5 players currently in Junior and Senior Australian Squads that tradition is set to continue in London 2012.
All NTIS Hockey athletes are encouraged to support and improve the local hockey environment by playing for their clubs and representing NT Hockey at National Championships wherever possible.
