Individual Athlete Scholarship Program

The Individual Athlete Scholarship (IAS) program is a key function of the Northern Territory Institute of Sport (NTIS), Programs and Partnerships unit.

Athletes who are talent identified or have been selected for an Australian Squad or Australian Team are eligible to apply for scholarships within the IAS program. Individual Athlete Scholarships (IAS) are not available to athletes in sports where the NTIS already conducts an NTIS squad program. Select scholarship applications for further information.

Athletes applying for an Individual scholarship are required to have a coach who delivers the technical and tactical components but also drives the integration of NTIS high performance services. Athletes who attain an Individual scholarship receive high performance management of their programs, which oversees coaching and the athlete services offered, both from within the NTIS and from external providers.

This includes the prioritisation of athlete objectives, monitoring of training and competition plans, delivery and integration of key services, testing of athlete performance and periodical review of their programs and performance.  The level of servicing and resources available is tiered towards providing the best athletes with the greatest opportunity to succeed in their sport.

Please find listed the current and former NTIS Individual Athlete Scholarship holders.
