Floodplain Maps
Detailed flood studies (hydrologic and hydraulic) have been done for Katherine (Town and Rural area), Alice Springs Town, Wugularr (Beswick) Community, Borroloola Town, Adelaide River Town, Coomalie/Litchfield area (Coomalie Creek section), Coomalie/Litchfield area (Adelaide River section) and Lower Finniss River area to map the area of inundation. These maps are called floodplain maps.
Floodplain maps for various flood magnitudes have been prepared for the areas noted above. The following maps are available on this site. Floodplain maps for other areas will be progressively added.
