Community Programs
Primary Objective
Coordination of the delivery of Northern Territory / Australian Government natural resource management investment programs, as outlined in the relevant Bilateral Agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high level of strategic, and policy advice to the Department on Australian Government natural resource management investment partnerships and programs.
- Manage and coordinate agreements, working arrangements and act as the agency contact between the Australian Government, the Natural Resource Management Board (NT) Inc and other partners in natural resource management investment.
- Reporting on financial, contractual, monitoring and evaluation on natural resource management investments in the Northern Territory.
- Ensure the provision of executive support to the Landcare Council of the Northern Territory.
Territory Natural Resource Management
The Territory Natural Resource Management was established in order to implement a strategic approach to natural resource management through the Northern Territory Integrated Natural Resource Management (INRM) Plan and Regional Investment Strategy (RIS), as agreed by the Northern Territory and Australian Governments.
