About Territory Eco-link

Territory Eco-link aims to deliver more than 2000 kilometres of linked areas in the Northern Territory from the tropical savannahs of the Top End to the desert of the Centre to ensure our unique environment is protected. Whilst our great parks provide the cornerstone of our conservation efforts they cannot, by themselves, fully conserve our unique wildlife in the face of pressing environmental challenges, such as climate change.  Already, Indigenous ranger groups, pastoralists and private conservation groups are increasingly undertaking an active role in conservation on their own land.

Territory Eco-link is assisting and enhancing these voluntary efforts for the benefit of our environment and all Territorians.  Territory Eco-link is providing a new direction in the way we manage our natural systems by focusing less on who owns the land and more on the capacities of a range of land owners to help conserve our plants and animals across the Territory.
