Bilingual Baby Board Books
View the launch of this event NOW on NT Library Web TV
Northern Territory Library is celebrating the success of the Bilingual Baby Board Book project which created relevant, local resources for families to share with babies. The project evolved from the Northern Territory Library's 'The Walk to School' Strategy, which focused on libraries in remote NT communities providing programs that support early years literacy.
Promoting a love of reading and sharing of stories with babies, the books bring local cultural knowledge to life through the language, content and artwork. These books developed in workshops at communities, assist in the promotion and preservation of Indigenous language.
