Some of our best local artists will be creating art for One Word One Day to raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation to help disadvantaged kids in remote parts of Australia. One Word One Day is an initiative of the Australian Society of Authors(ASA) (in conjunction with Micador) and is a national event that will travel to each capital city throughout the year.

Broadband for Seniors

Broadband for SeniorsFree, one-on-one computer training is being offered at the Northern Territory Library, Parliament House from 8:30am – 9:30am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, as part of the Broadband for Seniors initiative.

This one-on-one training will start with the absolute basics of turning the computer on and off and using the mouse, then progressing to producing and saving a basic word document. You can then work your way up to learning how to navigate to a web page, browsing and saving favourite pages, using Gmail and Web security.

If you are a Senior Territorian, and would like help to start using a computer, contact the Northern Territory Library on 8999 7177 to arrange a free training session.
